Benfica are expected to make a €40 million bid for Thiago Almada.

The Portuguese club are pushing to sign the Argentine. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Benfica had an initial bid of €35 million rejected by Eagle Football Holdings, the owners of Botafogo and Lyon.

With a bid of €35 million rejected, a €40 million bid is expected in the new few hours. Almada played 20 matches with Lyon last season, scoring twice and assisting five goals.

  1. Go Almada. Wouldn’t be a bad move. Also matter of De Paul transfer to Miami wouldn’t be a bad move if Equi goes to Spanish league and play whole season get his mojo back then i don’t think this situation is a problem whichever De Paul starting from bench and Equi as DM alongside Macca & Enzo would a be killer midfield. 3 young gun . Equi transfer to Saudi league broke my heart as I was shocked no European team came for him. Arsenal showed interest but it didn’t happen. This kid is serious talent in his position. Can play with both feet and his passing and energy something will make our midfield better than now. De Paul looked lagged last few match so I really hope Equi goes to Real Sociedad and play good enough minutes to call up with NT. If comes to Europe he will get called no question asked coz Scaloni and co very fond of him. So let’s hope….
