Enzo Barrenechea has joined Benfica on loan from Aston Villa.

Barrenechea joins Benfica on loan for one year after having spent last season on loan at Valencia. Both clubs have announced that the Argentine joins Benfica for one year season for €3 million with an option to buy which can become mandatory if objectives are met.

Should objectives be met and Benfica do purchase Enzo, it would be for €12 million with Benfica retaining 5% and with Aston Villa getting 30% or future sales up to €10 million.
