Erik Lamela is set to join Matías Almeyda’s coaching staff at Sevilla.
Lamela will be retiring from football and turn to coaching. According to both Uriel Uigt and César Luis Merlo, Lamela reached an agreement with AEK to terminate his contract.
The 33 year old is expected to announce his retirement from football. Lamela will be travelling to Spain to join Matías Almeyda’s coaching staff.
Man, I always loved Lamela. He had so much style. Apparentl, he had massive problems with his hips since 2017 which would explain why he never reached the absolute heights and stayed so long at Tottenham Hotspur.
