Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni commented on the team winning as much as they have, Lionel Messi and the World Cup.
Lionel Scaloni spoke in an interview with Pablo Giralt about not wanting to play the Finalissima against Spain before the World Cup. In the same interview, he also commented on the team winning. Here is what he had to say:
“It’s not normal to have achieved everything that was achieved.
“Life goes on after being World champions. Winning doesn’t allow you to do whatever you want.”
Scaloni also commented on Lionel Messi:
“Messi still makes the difference, cracks are like that. Messi has won the right to decide when he retires. Let’s enjoy Messi while we have him.”
When asked about the World Cup:
“The heat in the next World Cup is going to be very tough.”
He also spoke about friendly matches:
“They help us to get together with the group… I’m interested in them arriving healthy to the World Cup.”
About Rodrigo De Paul joining Inter Miami:
“De Paul in MLS? I know Rodrigo well. We don’t value where they play, but rather their performances. If he continues to be the same as always, he’ll stay. It’s up to him. I don’t think he’ll have any problems. We know his training style and how he takes care of himself.”
