Juan Foyth has arrived in Argentina and spoke about Lionel Messi, Julio Soler and Franco Mastantuono.
Foyth is back in the Argentina national team after not consistently being called-up. The 27 year old is with the team for the World Cup qualifying matches against Venezuela and Ecuador.
Argentina’s World Cup qualifier against Venezuela on Thursday could be Lionel Messi’s last ever World Cup qualifying match in Argentina. Speaking with ESPN Argentina, here is what Foyth had to say about it:
“If Messi plays his last qualifying match against Venezuela, it will be a date that goes down in history. It’s wonderful to experience it so closely and share these moments.”
The defender also stated that he was happy to be with the team and had this to say abotu the younger players:
“Soler and Mastantuono are very talented and mature players. They don’t seem their age, and it’s great to see new players coming through.”
