Franco Mastantuono makes Real Madrid history in the Champions League

Franco Mastantuono made Real Madrid history in their 2-1 win against Olympique Marseille in the Champions League.

Mastantuono started for Real Madrid and became Real Madrid’s youngest starter in a Champions League match. At 18 years and 33 days old, he broke the previous record set in November 2024 by Endrick who was 18 years and 73 days old.

The Argentine was substituted out to a standing ovation from the Santiago Bernabeau fans. Following the match, compatriot Leonardo Balerdi, captain of Olympique de Marseille, had commented on Franco Mastantuono and stated that he should not be compared to Lionel Messi.
