Julián Álvarez and Thiago Almada both scored for Atletico Madrid in their 3-0 win against Sevilla.
Álvarez made it 37 goals for Atletico Madrid, making it seven goals in 11 league matches. With the score at 0-0, Giuliano Simeone was taken down in the penalty area and Atletico Madrid were awarded a penalty kick.
Up stepped the Argentine who went to the goalkeeper’s bottom right corner and with the goalkeeper diving the same way, Álvarez scored to give Atletico the 1-0 lead.
With Atletico Madrid leading 1-0, Simeone made a run down the right wing and found Thiago Almada inside the penalty area and Almada scored Atletico Madrid’s second goal of the match.
Thiago Almada would have an assist for Antoine Griezmann’s goal.
Giuliano Simeone and Nicolás González also started the match for Diego Simeone’s team while Nahuel Molina and Thiago Almada were substituted into the game.
