Leandro Paredes injured, will miss Argentina’s friendly matches before World Cup

1. Our two right back will not available for next two match why not try juliano Simeone in right back position..I think he will be better option for us..simeone defence wel and can run 90 minutes..

2. Finally, posting my first message here after enjoying the discussions for almost a decade. This is a fantastic forum and so many thanks to all of you and especially @Roy Nemer …. I am finally in and got my access to write/contribute. Earlier was just waiting and kept trying for access to write. So without wasting any time…

   Quick thoughts —-
   1. I did this mistake long back – never underestimate Peredes in National jersey, he is a proven beast.
   2. While I am not sure GLC deserves a call or not …. but is everyone here sure Buendia brings in the right atmosphere in dressing room?? I won’t say more – the core group will know that he might not be the best choice in dressing room.
   3. I am a fan of Senesi – but I will trust Scaloni & Co. … and Senesi has been given some chances in the past – which he didn’t capitalise on. So … its okay!
   4. As for Giay or anyone else …. at the end it will all fall in place … we have a window to change any ailing players before the first match — so trust in conspiring Universe. And trust the coaching staff that has lost JUST 8 matches out of 96 in last 8 years and given us every POSSIBLE TROPHY.

3. Paredes have been in a great form we need him.we don’t know in what form DePaul is so Paredes is very important

6. Scaloni should be fired for carrying out hospital squad.

   • Yes absolutely no doubt. After all what has he achieved for Argentina in the last 5 years? First success after more than 20 years 2 copa 1 wc 1 finalissima 1 wcq top spot beating brazil in maracana first time but oh well he should be fired for selecting the players he trusts where 95% of them will be absolutely fit for the wc 1st matchday. Instead he should have selected untested youngsters in the biggest stage of them all. But what does Scaloni know where we fans can build a perfect squad from our smart phones and laptops. Let’s not trust our coaches guys! 😉😉😉

7. At this rate of injury hit, we will have Scaloni, Samuels, Ayala & Aimar in playing 11 for the upcoming 2 friendlies😁. Giay & Calpado in the friendlies list means they are still in radar if either Molina or Montiel dont fully recover in time. Team management can change player in case of fitness issues 24hours before first game
   Here are the top contenders injury/ recovery management that is getting reported. So everyone has one or other issue while quantity wise we are worst stacked up on fitness front
   1) Spain – Yamal + Nico Williams (both doubtful for 1st WC match), Merino (just back post surgery), Fermin Lopez already out of squad due to injury
   2) Brazil – Neymar (calf..doubtful for 1st match) , Rodyrgo & Estevao already out of squad due to injury.
   3) France – Dembele had a recent calf injury, Zaire Emery. Ekitike already out of squad due to injury.
   4) England – Livramento, Reece James, Madueke
   5) Portugal – no active injury/ recovery names.
   6) Argentina – Romero( looks the toughest), Messi, Molina, Dibu,Montiel, Almada, NicoG ,Parades is latest to have muscular discomfort in last Boca game. But all expected to be available for Match 1. Foyth & Panichelli injury drops prior to squad selection.

8. How quickly you turn your loyalties … lol
   Proven world champions for young potential that is unproven at the highest competitions!!
   Paredes and locelso won us a copa america 19 months ago. And you can NOT measure the heart of Paredes to perrone… although I thought Buendia should have been there for Lopez. Remember most of these injuries are precautionary…. THIS IS A BETTER TEAM THAN ‘22. (Talent wise)… just sit back and let them cook!!!

9. If he is not fit no need for his inclusion. Perrone can get job done. This is not paredes of 2021-2022. Yes he has been good at boca but Perrone has been exceptional. Talking of Locelso I would rather keep quiet cause it’s very annoying; hopefully he doesn’t end up being the Achilles heel of the team. As much as the coach should be backed, the fans sometimes do have the third eye and get it right.

10. Too many old and injury prone players. The ideal should have been:
    Perrone for Paredes
    Buendia for Lo Celso
    Giay for Montiel
    Senesi for Otamendi

    • Lo Celso is not older than Buendia btw

      • At least Buendia is in his form of his life

        • So the decision was right with GLC. Everybody says he was bad this season and Buendia is on fire…
          But if you check the stats, both have similar numbers. So that means prime Buendia is only as good as poor GLC.. So that means it was the right decision to bring GLC over Buendia

          • You not visualizing the main fact….yes both of them had a similar type season but just before the WC or going into the WC Buendia is at top right now

          • And It is also true that form just before WC does not matter because WC environment is completely different like Before 2022 wc Lautaro Martinez was in peak but he played horribly in WC

13. We are taking many injured players to the WC. Buy the time of WC matches..May be they are fit..but they will be in their best form..?
    And the chance of another injuries during this long tournament is high. Many.of the selected players are injury prone. We can’t replace the players when the WC starts..except GK.

    I have confidence in our players and staff..but Injury and form after injury are the biggest concern.

    We have a luxury of players where we can exclude a player who won player of the match in the final of an European championships?
