Leandro Paredes is injured and will miss Argentina’s friendly matches before the World Cup.
Paredes will not play against Honduras and Iceland for the Argentina national team. According to DSports, the 31 year old has a muscle strain and will not play in the two matches.
Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni hopes to have him fit for the first match at the World Cup against Algeria.

We are taking many injured players to the WC. Buy the time of WC matches..May be they are fit..but they will be in their best form..?
And the chance of another injuries during this long tournament is high. Many.of the selected players are injury prone. We can’t replace the players when the WC starts..except GK.
I have confidence in our players and staff..but Injury and form after injury are the biggest concern.
We have a luxury of players where we can exclude a player who won player of the match in the final of an European championships?
