Cristian Romero is set to become the new Argentina national team captain after Lionel Messi’s retirement.

Romero will be the new Argentina national team captain. According to ESPN Argentina, the 28 year old will become the new Argentina national team captain, replacing Lionel Messi.

The Argentine has captained Argentina against Chile in a World Cup qualifier and against Venezuela and Mauritania in friendly games.
