Cristian Romero is set to become the new Argentina national team captain after Lionel Messi’s retirement.

Romero will be the new Argentina national team captain. According to ESPN Argentina, the 28 year old will become the new Argentina national team captain, replacing Lionel Messi.

The Argentine has captained Argentina against Chile in a World Cup qualifier and against Venezuela and Mauritania in friendly games.

  1. Lionel Scaloni is set to resign after December….Guys we might be seeing the greatest transition period Argentina has ever witnessed. Only GOD knows whether it will be good or we might be trapped for another 30+ years of trophy drought (2026 to 2060+-)
