Roberto Ayala spoke about the Argentina national team, Lionel Messi retiring, Leo Flores and Gianluca Prestianni.
Ayala is part of the Argentina national team coaching staff and he commented on Lionel Messi retiring. Speaking in an interview with DSports Radio, here is what he had to say:
“We know we have the talent to continue competing and being at our best. For us, it’s a great challenge to replace Leo and keep the Argentine National Team competitive (…) We have a great group of players who have experienced many things with the National Team and who can inspire the younger players to experience it the way they do.”
He also spoke about Leo Flores:
“We are amazed to see footballers with the unpredictability of Leo Flores, we are very happy with him. Both Vasco (Arruabarrena) and Leo (Scaloni) have told him that he is now a national team player and that he has to be attentive to many aspects of his life.
On Gianluca Prestianni:
“He has one-on-one ability and unpredictability; he’s the kind of player who is always welcome for us.”
