3. Damn he should have been useful in La Paz against Bolivia, only 2 CBs who trade in South America are Quarta and Kanneman, At least they may have adapted better to the La Paz than the European Counterparts.

4. Do hope that Scaloni will call Marcos Senesi for replacement; it will great to give a chance to young potential player to join N/T, agree that Pezella start as starting XI

     • Lisandro is anyday better than Senesi who is still raw. But i guess Scaloni is not comfortable playing Lisandro as a CB bcos of smaller stature as there is no other logic of ignoring him. Inspite of lower height for modern CBs, i see him as an aerially smart player. If he is paired with someone like Pezella i think we should be safe. But guess coach knows better than fans anyday. So maybe Senesi will get a chance in Scaloni’s system earlier to Lisandro.

       • Lisandro has great athletisism. Got a good jumping attribute and also his ball playing ability is that of a modern day defender. If scaloni gives him chance I’m sure he will seal his position.

         • Also Lisandro Martinez is one of the most skillful defenders on the ball

5. its now time to move on from pezella and otamendi…need to develop defenders like romero senesi for the worldcup and have a consistent back 4

   My pick would be RB montiel/saravia CB Romero/medina LCB senesi/N.perez LB taglifico/acuna

   • Whats wrong with Pezzella? He’s an excellent defender. Otamendi on the other hand is well past his sell by date but I wouldn’t mind keeping him on the bench for the WCQ to lend some experience to the up and coming defenders.

   Very strong in attack. I like Messi as 10 behind Lautaro and Dybala. A solid midfield capable of creating and driving the ball forward and wide. Ocampos and De Paul (LM/RM/Mezzala-role) are both workhorses and good defensively which makes up for having a less defensive but brilliant Regista in Paredes. Balance.

   Lo Celso can be swapped for either Ocampos or De Paul or even Dybala if you move Messi forward and Gio as 10.

   It would be an exciting team to watch!

   • For me German pezzella must start cb preferably Partner MQ. But for sure in scaloni eyes otamendi will start ahead of both them.German pezzella very underrated defender.

     • I agree that Pezzella is rated pretty low on here due to pace. I think he can be a great defender for us with the right partner. He needs someone pacy, ball-playing and good with build-up to complement him, while he is good with heading, leadership, composure and tackling.

   • Great news I’m not biggest fan of otamendi. But he deserves a lot better than the way pundits And media were undermine him so much.
     Tbh he is very good defender but at times he looks clown and bit rush.

8. If a replacement within the team was to happen , it only makes sense to call up one of Lisandro Martinez , C Romero or Senesi .
