Javier Mascherano reportedly no longer coach of Argentina U20 team

Javier Mascherano is reportedly no longer the coach of the Argentina U20 team.

Mascherano’s cycle with the Argentina U20 team has come to an end. According to Esteban Edul, despite the AFA’s best efforts to keep Mascherano as coach, his decision is firm and has been made, he will not continue coaching the U20 national team.

The 38 year old had stated that his time was likely over with the team after their elimination in January’s U20 Sudamericano tournament.

    • Yeah, score smore. Until he publicly burns his CR7 undies, sacrifices a hundred lambs and writes a 3000 word essay on social media about how he loves Argentina, we prefer real Argentinos like Pavon and Meza over Spaniards.

      • Do you know what 50% is? He’s half Argentine half Spaniard, therefore if you are to call him a Spaniard you also have to call him an Argentine because he is just as much of one as he is the other. You can’t give more weight to one side if they’re both equal

  1. He was the sole reason that we couldn’t qualify for the U20 world cup. Any other coach would have made it with that squad.
    I wished for Aimar…

  2. Great news!!! Not qualifying for u20 world cup is a failure!!! And no bullshit that players wasn’t allowed to leave.. we have enough talent to qualify for the least….
