Correa was substituted into the match and got his first goal in the Champions League this season. With Dortmund leading 2-1 but the score 3-3 on aggregate, the ball fell to Correa and the Argentine scored off a difficult volley to give them the 4-3 lead on aggregate.

Dortmund would score two more and win the tie 5-4, knocking Atletico Madrid out of the Champions League. Rodrigo De Paul and Nahuel Molina both started for Atletico and were substituted out.
