Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni stated that Lionel Messi will start tomorrow.
Lionel Scaloni has confirmed that Messi will start for Argentina vs. Canada in the semi finals of the 2024 Copa America. Scaloni spoke at a press conference on Monday. Here is what he had to say:
“Messi is fine, he ended the game without any discomfort. He will start tomorrow. It’s a possibility that Messi and Di María play together.”
Scaloni also spoke about European countries at a Copa America:
“I would like for a European nation to be invited to a Copa America sometime so they can see what it’s like to play here, and also the other way around with the Euro’s.”
Yeah, invite them to play in the altitude of La Paz or at least Quito and the heat of Barranquilla, let’s see how they fair. And also let the refs allow fouls without consequences as in Brazil vs Uruguay.
It might be smart to invite a European nation that didn’t make it to the Euros to the Copa America. Inviting Norway to see how Haaland competes would have been fun. I think it would be smart
