Lionel Messi and Inter Miami break MLS single-season points record, qualify for Club World Cup

Lionel Messi and Inter Miami have broken the MLS single-season points record and have qualified for the Club World Cup.

Messi has made history with Inter Miami. In the last match of the season, Messi scored a hat trick for Inter Miami in a 6-2 win against New England, to bring them to 74 points in the season.

Those 74 points are the most ever by an MLS club in a season. Lionel Messi and Inter Miami will start the MLS playoffs on Friday.
