Lionel Messi has made MLS history

Messi continues to make history in the MLS. The 38 year old was named as the Player of the Day for a sixth time this season after scoring a hat trick and assisting once in Inter Miami’s 5-2 win against Nashville.

The Argentine becomes the first player in MLS history to win the honor six times in consecutive seasons. He has now won the award 12 times and is already tied with Bradley Wright-Philipps for the third most in the history of the league.
