Zlatan Ibrahimović speaks on Lionel Messi after 2 goals for Argentina vs. Austria at World Cup

Zlatan Ibrahimović spoke about Lionel Messi after Messi’s two goals for Argentina against Austria at the World Cup.

Ibrahimović and Lionel Messi were team mates at FC Barcelona and the former football is a pundit at the World Cup for Fox Sports. Lionel Messi scored two goals for Argentina in their 2-0 win against Austria and Zlatan spoke on Fox Sports after the match. Here is what he had to say:

“It was never in doubt. I mean you have moments where he looks human by missing the penalty, then you have the moments where he doesn’t look human, that’s Messi. So far it’s his World Cup.

“And he didn’t play against Jordan yet so I don’t know where it will finish. Five goals in two games, I have zero goals in two World Cups so, I’m happy, I’m happy for him. And I hope he continues, his birthday is in a couple of days, let him enjoy because we are all enjoying by seeing him play, so, amazing, just amazing, no words.”

  1. I know eventually Mbappe would break his records in this tournament itself. May be some day even Haalande would score more than Mbappe. But that would not take away any inch of Messi’s World Cup legacy.
