Lautaro MARTINEZ scores winner for Inter in Derby della Madonnina

Lautaro MARTINEZ scored the winner for Inter in their 3-2 win against rivals AC Milan.

The Argentine looks to finally have found his form for Inter. With him having the coach’s confidence, Lautaro has now started a number of matches and it has paid dividends.

With the score at 2-1, Inter were awarded a penalty kick. The pressure was on Lautato and he made no mistake to make it 3-1 for his team.

Mateo MUSACCHIO would score for AC Milan to make it 3-2 but it wasn’t enough as Inter ran away with the 3 points.

After the match, Inter coach Luciano SPALETTI had this to say:

“Lautaro is powerful, has technique, confidence.

“You just need to look him in the eyes and you can tell he can take on everything. We’ve found a young striker who can sort a lot of things out for us.”

Nicolas OTAMENDI of Manchester City out of Argentina team

Nicolas OTAMENDI is injured and will not be taking part in Argentina’s friendly matches this month.

Per a tweet by the Argentina account, the Manchester City defender won’t play against Venezuela and Morocco. OTAMENDI suffered a sprained left ankle during City’s 3-2 win against Swansea in the FA Cup.

This would mean that both of City’s Argentine representatives, Sergio AGUERO and Nicolas OTAMENDI will not be taking part in the matches.

Lionel MESSI scored one of the most ridiculous hattricks you will ever see in FC Barcelona’s 4-1 win against Real Betis.

MESSI with three very different types of goals, all of which were worthy of winning a match but he truly saved the best for last. Barcelona were awarded a free kick and the captain stepped up to take it. Not under the wall or over the wall, MESSI’s shot went to the left of the wall and into the top corner of the net.

But the magic was just starting. Luis SUAREZ played sublime pass in to MESSI and his shot beat the goalkeeper to make it 2-0 for Barcelona.

However, the best was yet to come. MESSI received the ball at the edge of the penalty area and with a first time touch of the ball, chipped it over the goalkeeper and into the net.

Real Betis gave MESSI a standing ovation following the third goal.

The Argentina and Barcelona captain spoke after the match regarding Betis fans giving him an ovation:

“I don’t remember the last time a rival audience applauded me… Betis fans always treat us very well and I’m very grateful.”

Sergio CANALES of Real Betis had this to say after the match:

“When MESSI is in this form, what the heck can you do? He’s the best player in the world.”

Manuel LANZINI, Roberto PEREYRA, other Argentine players arrive in Madrid

A few players from the Argentina national team have arrived in Madrid for the friendly match against Venezuela.

Six Argentine players are now in Madrid and at coach Lionel SCALONI’s disposal. Manuel LANZINI, Roberto PEREYRA, Angel CORREA, Juan FOYTH, German PEZZELLA and Marcos ACUNA already did work at the gym.

The team will play Venezuela on Friday, March 22 in Madrid.

Diego PEROTTI scores in AS Roma loss to SPAL

Diego PEROTTI scored for AS Roma in their 2-1 loss to SPAL.

The Argentine scored only his second goal of the season but it wasn’t enough as Roma went on to allow one more goal. With the score at 1-0, Roma were awarded a penalty and up stepped PEROTTI. The 30 year old’s shot send the goalkeeper the wrong way.
