Confirmation on Thursday that the Argentina National Team will play at at the Etihad stadium.
It was already confirmed that the Argentina National Team would play two friendly matches in March. The first against four time world champions Italy with the second coming against the 2010 world champions Spain. What was not fully confirmed were the locations.
Per the official Argentina team Twitter account, Argentina against Italy will be played at the Etihad stadium, home of Sergio AGUERO and Nicolas OTAMENDI’s Manchester City. The last time the team played in Manchester was on the red side of the city, at Old Trafford back in 2014 in a 1-0 loss to Portugal. This would be the first time the team would play at the Manchester City’s stadium.
The second match against Spain will be played at the newly opened Wanda Metropolitano stadium in Madrid. The stadium is home to Diego SIMEONE’s Atletico Madrid.
