Gio Lo Celso is set to be left out of the Argentina national team due to his fitness.

Lo Celso will not be making the Argentina national team for their two World Cup qualifying matches against Uruguay and Brazil. According to Gastón Edul, Lo Celso is going to be left out due to his recovery.

The 28 year old has not been part of the Real Betis squad due to fitness issues. Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni had included Lo Celso in the preliminary list for the two matches.

Alejandro Garnacho to be cut from Argentina team against Uruguay and Brazil

Alejandro Garnacho will be cut from the Argentina national team against Uruguay and Brazil.

Garnacho is set to not make the final Argentina team for the March World Cup qualifiers. According to Gastón Edul, the 20 year old is not on the final Argentina national team list.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni had included Garnacho in the preliminary list for the two World Cup qualifying matches.

Messi scored for Inter Miami in their 2-0 win against Cavalier.

Messi was brought on as a substitute for Inter Miami and scored in injury time. With Inter Miami leading 1-0, it was a pass into the penalty area which found Messi and the Argentine would score to give Inter Miami the 2-0 lead.

It was Messi’s first match in Jamaica and Inter Miami are now in the quarter finals of the Concacaf Champions Cup.

Three Argentine players remain in the Champions League as Lautaro Martínez, Joaquín Correa and Inter will play Bayern while Emiliano Martínez and Aston Villa will play Paris Saint-Germain.

A repeat of the 2010 Champions League final as Lautaro Martínez and Inter will play Bayern Munich in the quarter finals. The other quarter final involving an Argentine player is Emiliano Martínez and Aston Villa playing against Paris Saint-Germain of France.

The other two quarter final matches are Arsenal against Real Madrid and FC Barcelona against Borussia Dortmund. The quarter finals take place in April.

Nicolás Otamendi scored for Benfica in their 3-1 loss against FC Barcelona.

Otamendi had Benfica’s only goal of the match in their elimination of the Champions League. With FC Barcelona leading 1-0, Benfica were awarded a corner kick and it was the Argentine who leapped up and scored the header.

FC Barcelona would score two more goals to eliminate Benfica from the Champions League.
