Lucas PRATTO talks his injury and Argentina status

Lucas PRATTO spoke about his recent injury and his status with the Argentina National Team.

The injured Lucas PRATTO took to the radio to discuss his broken nose and if he would be available to play for Argentina in their upcoming World Cup Qualifying matches. Here’s what he had to say:

“The surgeon who operated on me has already given me the green light. But the coach prefers I play on Saturday. I could be called up to the Argentina National Team. I know that there has been contact with the Argentina medical team.”

As we reported, there had been rumors that if PRATTO cannot make it, one of Lucas ALARIO or Marco RUBEN would be called up as a replacement.

Argentine Primera continues as Boca top table

The Argentine Primera continued with more matches on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Argentine players galore in Champions League preview

It’s Argentine galore in this week’s Champions League matches.

A total of 9 (10 counting Jorge SAMPAOLI) Argentine’s will be part of Tuesday’s Champions League matches. Two for Juventus, one for Leicester City and six (seven with SAMPAOLI) for Sevilla.

On Tuesday, Juventus will host FC Porto in Italy as they look to add to their 2-0 aggregate lead going into Tuesday’s match. The other match taking place on Tuesday will be in England as Leicester City look to turn around a 2-1 aggregate score as they host Sevilla. Here are the matches involving the Argentine players on Tuesday.

Lucas ALARIO or Marco RUBEN could be called as replacement

One of Lucas ALARIO or Marco RUBEN could be called as a replacement for Lucas PRATTO.

As we reported, Lucas PRATTO suffered a broken nose during Sao Paulo’s match against Palmeiras. It was reported that should he play, he would need a protective mask. However, per a report by TyC Sports, should PRATTO not be able to take part in Argentina’s upcoming World Cup Qualifying matches, it would be one of Lucas ALARIO or Marco RUBEN who would get called as a replacement.

No Mauro ICARDI

This happening after Argentina National Team coach Edgardo BAUZA stated a few times that if something were to happen to Gonzalo HIGUAIN or Lucas PRATTO, it would be Inter’s Mauro ICARDI who would get called to replace one of the players.

It now appears to not be the case. It would be either River Plate’s Lucas ALARIO or Rosario Central’s Marco RUBEN.

Wanda ICARDI has taken to social media to lobby for Mauro ICARDI’s inclusion to the Argentina National Team.

Mauro ICARDI’s wife (who also happens to be his agent), has tweeted out supporting Mauro while indirectly taking a jab at Argentina National Team coach Edgardo BAUZA.

Here’s what Wanda tweeted out:
“One day, we’ll all be Argentine’s who will stand up and applaud you. Everything comes and injustices aren’t eternal.”
