It goes from bad to worse for this team.

Argentina’s Olympic team had all their stuff stolen from the hotel they were staying at in Mexico. “I re-iterate, I’ve always said I would like to coach Argentina, it’s my dream, but at this moment, it would be irresponsible of me to leave Sevilla with all the important matches we have ahead of us.”

Match highlights: Argentina 0 – 0 Mexico

Argentina’s last match heading into the Rio Olympics ended in a 0-0 draw.

Julio OLARTICOECHEA’s team played a 0-0 draw just as they did in their first match together against Colombia. Mexico scored a goal which in all honesty should have stood. A cross was sent into the area and goalkeeper Geronimo RULLI completely missed his punch as the ball hit a Mexican player and went in.

In the 90th minute, GIANNETTI received a second yellow card (which could easily have been a straight red) as he was sent off.

Olympic team preparation match results:
Argentina 0 – 0 Colombia
Argentina 3 – 1 Haiti
Argentina 0 – 0 Mexico
