Lionel Messi returned from injury with two goals for Inter Miami in their 3-1 win vs. Philadelphia Union.

It was not the best of starts for Inter Miami, allowing a goal after only 59 seconds. An effort on goal and the goalkeeper got a hand to it but was unable to keep the ball out.

It was a connection made in South America. Luis Suárez would play a pass to his good friend Messi who would dribble around the defender and score to draw Inter Miami level.

Lionel Messi would add one more goal. It was a goal we have seen several times at FC Barcelona and at Inter Miami, Jordi Alba would play a pass into the penalty area and the Argentine would score his second goal of the match.

At 2-1, Messi would play a pass to Suárez who would score but the referee would go to VAR and Messi was offside.

The second half would bring a goal for Luis Suarez and an assist from Lionel Messi and Inter Miami continue to lead the league.
