Lionel Scaloni is expected to field an alternate starting XI vs. Ecuador.
Scaloni will have the Argentina team training on Thursday and there could be some changes against Ecuador on Sunday. According to Gastón Edul, Scaloni will be fielding an alternate team and will give minutes to different players.
The Argentina national team will travel to Chicago on Saturday and Scaloni will speak at a press conference. Argentina will play Ecuador on Sunday in Chicago at Soldier Field.
The Argentina national team are reportedly impressed with ValentÃn Carboni.
Lionel Scaloni is a fan of the 19 year old. According to Gastón Edul, the Argentina national team staff loves Carboni and think that he will play with the team for a long time.
ValentÃn Carboni is with the Argentina national team training in Miami, Florida for the team’s two friendly matches against Ecuador and Guatemala and is part of the provisional team for the Copa America.
Alejandro Garnacho has bene nominated for the Golden Boy award.
Garnacho is in third place for the award and is the only Argentine nominated in the top 10 list. The award is established Tuttosport and all nominees are under the age of 21 and play in the first division in Europe.
Facundo Buonanotte and ValentÃn Carboni are also nominated but in the top 100 players. The Argentine is nominated along with Lamine Yamal, Joao Neves, Warren Zaire-Emery, Leny Yoro, Savio, Kobbie Mainoo, Pau Cubarsi, Aleksandar Pavlovic and Rico Lewis.
Only two Argentine players have won the award. Lionel Messi in 2005 and after that in 2007, it was Sergio Agüero.
Germán Pezzella could miss the Copa America with the Argentina national team due to injury.
Pezzella could be out of the Copa America with Argentina. According to Leo Paradizo, there is a lot of concern in the Argentina team for the 32 year old and he is at risk of missing the Copa America.
The Argentine suffered a small muscle injury in May while with Real Betis. Should Pezzella miss the Copa America, Lucas MartÃnez Quarta and Leonardo Balerdi could go in his place.
