Lionel Messi scored a hat trick and had an assist for Inter Miami in their 5-2 win against Nashville.

Messi had three goals and an assist to end the regular season with Inter Miami. With the score at 0-0, Messi chested the ball down, turned and dribbled his marker, scoring from outside of the penalty area to give Inter Miami the 1-0 lead.

Nashville would score twice and take a 2-1 lead but Inter Miami were awarded a penalty kick for a handball. The 38 year old would take it and he would score his second goal of the match to draw Inter Miami level.

With Inter Miami leading 3-2, Messi would play a one-two with Luis Suarez and the Argentine would score his third goal of the match. Messi would also get an assist a goal by Baltasar Rodriguez.

The Argentine finishes the regular season with 29 goals for Inter Miami.

Thiago Almada scores, Giuliano Simeone assists for Atlético Madrid in 1-0 win vs. Osasuna

Thiago Almada marked his return for Atlético Madrid with the winning goal in a 1–0 victory over Osasuna on Matchday 9 of La Liga. The Argentine midfielder came back after missing seven games due to a right leg muscle injury.

Before the match, coach Diego Simeone said: “He’s a player with a special understanding of the game — those passes only a few can see. We need a lot from him, whether he plays ten, ninety, sixty, or five minutes.”

Messi could win the MLS Golden Boot award. With the MLS final match day taking place on Saturday, Messi is presently the league’s top scorer with 26 goals.

The Argentine has 26 goals in 27 league matches with Inter Miami. Denis Bouanga of Los Angeles FC has 24 goals in 30 matches while Sam Surridge of Nashville has 23 goals in 33 matches.

Inter Miami play Nashville on Saturday while LAFC play against Colorado.

Joaquín Panichelli scored twice and Valentín Barco had an assist for Strasbourg in their 3-3 draw against Paris Saint-Germain.

Panichelli made it seven goals in eight league matches with Strasbourg. With Paris Saint-Germain leading 1-0, it was a cross into the penalty area which found Panichelli and he scored a header to draw Strasbourg level.

With the score at 1-1, Valentín Barco chipped the ball to Diego Moreira and he scored to give Strasbourg the 2-1 lead. That was Barco’s second assist in two matches.

At 2-1, Panichelli would receive the ball inside the penalty area and he would score his second goal of the match to give Strasbourg the 3-1 lead.

Paris Saint-Germain would score two more goals for the 3-3 draw.

Argentina are in second place in the latest FIFA rankings.

The Argentina national team moved up one spot in the latest FIFA rankings. Lionel Scaloni’s team won 1-0 against Venezuela and 6-0 agaonst Puerto Rico in the friendly matches.

In first place is Spain with 1880 points and Argentina in second with 1872 points. France is third with 1862 points and England with 1824 points.

Portugal is in fifth place with 1778 and Netherlands in sixth place with 1759 points. Brazil with 1758 points on seventh place.

Belgium is at 1740 points while Italy is at 1717 points and Germany at 1713 points makes up the top ten teams.
