Palacios reached four goals in for Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga this season in their win. With the Bundesliga champions leading 2-1, they were awarded a penalty kick and it was the 25 year old who took it.

The Argentine took the penalty kick, going to the goalkeeper’s left and the goalkeeper went the wrong way with Palacios scoring. He now has six goals in all competitions this campaign, the most he has ever scored in a season.

Walter Benítez won the Eredivisie with PSV with 18 clean sheets, the most in the league. The Argentine goalkeeper only conceded 19 goals this season.

With this achievement, Benítez reached his fourth title at the Dutch club. He had previously won the Dutch Cup in 2023 and the Dutch Super Cup in 2023 and 2024.

The former Quilmes man debuted with the Argentina senior team in a friendly match against Costa Rica in March of this year.

Julián Álvarez scored as he reached 100 appearances for Manchester City.

Álvarez started Manchester City’s 5-1 win vs. Wolves on the bench but his substitutions meant he had played 100 matches for the club. Just three minutes after being substituted into the match, the Argentine received a ball and he took it in his stride, finishing with a left footed effort towards the far post.

The 24 year old has 18 goals this season, 10 of them in the Premier League.

Lionel Messi had one goal and five assists for Inter Miami in their 6-2 win vs. New York RB and broke records.

Messi made MLS history with his five assists for Inter Miami and stole the show. It was New York RB who scored and took a 1-0 lead in the match but it was Lionel Messi who took over the match. Messi assisted Matias Rojas for the first goal which drew Inter Miami level.

The 36 year old gave Inter Miami the 2-1 lead when the ball fell to him inside the penalty area and his effort found the back of the goal for Inter Miami’s second goal of the match. Inter Miami’s third goal was arguably Messi’s best assist of the night.

He would play a pass in which would cut through New York’s back line and it fell to Rojas once more and he would score his second goal of the match. His next three were for Luis Suarez, the first a low cross, the second was a play between the two players and the third was an outside of the foot pass.

The Argentine became the first player in MLS history to have five assists in one match and is the first player in the MLS this season to reach 10 goals. His one goal and six assists is also a personal record for most goal contributions in one match.

Messi also becomes the first player with over 1200 career goal contributions.

Inter Miami are negotiating with Ángel Di María.

The Argentine could be leaving Benfica and becoming a free agent in the summer. According to Leo Paradizo, the team which currently boasts Lionel Messi could be signing another Argentine from Rosario.

Ángel Di María joined Benfica this season from Juventus and with many reports that he will not remain at the club, he could be joining his good friend Messi in Miami. The 36 year old has played at some of the biggest clubs in the world and would not be playing with one of the most attractive clubs in the United States.
