Garnacho was named as the Player of the Match with the two fouls on him in the first half. Garnacho initially won the ball back in midfield for United and he would end up at the end of the play getting fouled inside the penalty area.

Manchester United would score and take a 1-0 lead off the penalty kick. The second penalty won was all Garnacho.

The Argentine made a run towards the penalty area, skipping beyond players and he got fouled inside the penalty area. United would score and take a 2-0 lead.

Being named as the Player of the Match, Garnacho spoke to TNT Sports after the match. Here is what he had to say:

“We lost the last two games it’s important to be there. We want to be in the Champions League next season so I am very happy [with this win].

“Now every game the manager said is a final. We have to win every single game, we’re Manchester United. The job is done.

“The manager wants me to go one v one, to shoot, to dribble. I won two penalties. It’s important.

“It’s like a dream with my age. A full Old Trafford stadium chanting my name is incredible. I am very proud and happy.”

Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag had this to say about Garnacho after the match:

“I love working with Ale Garnacho. He likes a challenge and he has huge potential.

“He’s progressing very well, and we’re pleased with this. His contribution today was huge again”.

Lionel Messi scored for Inter Miami in their 2-2 draw vs. Nashville SC in the Concacaf Champions Cup.

Messi scored his first goal in the Concacaf Champions Cup to bring Inter Miami back into the match. With Nashville SC leading 2-0, the ball fell to Messi on the outside of the penalty area and the World Cup winner would place it into the back of the net to bring Inter Miami back in the match.

Luis Suárez would score their second goal late in injury time to draw them level with the second leg on Wednesday. Federico Redondo and Tomás Avilés also started the match for Inter Miami.
