Kevin Zenón, Lucas Beltrán and Pablo Solari score for Argentina Olympic team in 4-0 win vs. Paraguay

Kevin Zenón and Pablo Solari each scored once and Lucas Beltrán scored twice for the Argentina Olympic team in their 4-0 win vs. Paragay.

The Argentina Olympic team played their first of two matches against Paraguay in what was a one sided contest. It was an early goal by Kevin Zenón which got the game going.

Zenón would receive the ball well outside of the penalty area and his left footed effort would go into the top corner of the goal to give Argentina the 1-0 lead.

Lucas Beltrán would score his first of two goals, he would pass the ball to Esquivel and continue his run into the penalty area, Esquivel would pass it into the area and Beltrán would score from close range to give Argentina the 2-0 lead. Beltrán would score his second just minutes later.

Media with a pass from midfield to Solari and he would pass it across the penalty area for Beltrán to score his second goal of the match.

In the second half, it was Solari who got the goal with a cross from deep and it felt to the Argentina who controlled it and with his left foot, curled it into the bottom corner of the goal.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has stated that Alejandro Garnacho and Valentín Carboni will give a lot to the team.

Lionel Scaloni spoke about the two young players and how they will give a lot for Argentina. Speaking at a press conference on Saturday in Chicago, here is what Scaloni had to say about the two players:

“Garnacho and Carboni excite us a lot. In the future, they are going to give us a lot.”

“The important thing is that both of them (Julián Álvarez and Lautaro Martínez) are fine and we are very happy. They can give us, based on each match, what we are looking for.”

Scaloni had also mentioned that Lionel Messi will play against Ecuador and the belief is that if Messi does not start, both Julián Álvarez and Lautaro Martínez will start for Argentina against Ecuador.

Lionel Scaloni spoke at a press conference in Chicago on Saturday after the team’s arrival to the city. Scaloni did not mention if Messi will start against Ecuador but he did sya that he will play. Here is what Scaloni had to say:

“The people will be able to see Messi tomorrow. He will surely play for a while. We are going to think carefully about the minutes that they will have so that we are ready for the debut.

“I imagine Leo (Messi) will play. I don’t know if it will be the entire match, 30 minutes, 60, but the people will be able to see him, that is the most important thing.”

Lionel Scaloni and the Argentina national team are in Chicago, Illinois for Sunday’s match against Ecuador and Scaloni appears to have his his back line in mind. According to Gastón Edul, the back line will consist of Nahuel Molina, Cristian Romero, Lisandro Martínez and Marcos Acuña.
