Ángel Correa scored twice for Atletico Madrid in their 2-2 draw vs. Villarreal.

Correa got both goals for Atletico Madrid in their last match of the season. With Villarreal leading 1-0, Atletico were awarded a free kick and Antoine Griezmann would play a pass in to an unmarked Correa who would score from inside the penalty area.

The Argentine would get Atletico’s second goal of the match. A counter attack by Atletico Madrid and Griezmann would play a pass in to Correa who would dribble around the goalkeeper and score to give them the 2-1 lead.

The World Cup winner finishes the season with eight league goals.

Paulo Dybala scores, reaches 12 goals for AS Roma

Paulo Dybala scored and reached 12 league goals for AS Roma in their 2-1 win vs. Spezia.

Dybala scored for the second match in a row for AS Roma, his last having been vs. Sevilla in the Europa League final. Against Spezia, with the score at 1-1, AS Roma were awarded a penalty kick and it was the Argentine World Cup winner who would take it and score.

The 29 year old has 12 goals in the league, five in the Europa League and one in the Coppa Italia. His goal gave Roma the win which qualified them for the Europa League next season.

Julián Álvarez wins FA Cup with Manchester City

Julián Álvarez has won the FA Cup with Manchester City.

Álvarez has won his second trophy with Manchester City this season. Despite not playing in the 2-1 win vs. Manchester United in the final, Álvarez scored three goals and had two assists in five FA Cup matches this season.

After winning the Premier League and now the FA Cup with Manchester City, his eye are set on the Champions League final next week. For Manchester United, Alejandro Garnacho was brought on as a substitute.

Lionel Messi releases short statement as he leaves PSG

Lionel Messi has released a short statement as he gets ready to leave PSG.

Messi will be playing his final game for PSG on Saturday and the Best player in the World spoke to PSG’s website where he said the following:

“I would like to thank the club, the city of Paris and its people for these two years. I wish you all the best for the future”.

The World Cup winner has been linked with a move back to FC Barcelona while also reportedly receiving an offer from Inter Miami.

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the Chariman and CEO of Paris Saint-Germain has thanked Lionel Messi for his two seasons at the club.

Al-Khelaïfi had the Best player in the World for two seasons at his club and as has already been confirmed, Lionel Messi will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi released the following statement on the PSG website:

“I would like to thank Leo Messi for his two seasons in Paris. To see a seven-time Ballon d’Or winner in the Rouge & Bleu and at Parc des Princes, winning back-to-back Ligue 1 titles and inspiring our younger players has been a pleasure.

“His contribution to Paris Saint-Germain and Ligue 1 cannot be understated and we wish Leo and his family all the best for the future.”
