Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has stated that Messi will start for Argentina on Friday. Speaking at a press conference on Thursday in Washington, D.C, here is what Scaloni had to say:

“Leo (Messi) will play from the start. If he can play the entire match, even better.”

Messi did not start in Argentina’s 1-0 win vs. Ecuador on Sunday but did come on as a substitute. Argentina will play Guatemala on Friday.
