Botafogo and Inter Miami are interested in Cristian Medina of Boca Juniors.

Per reports, Botafogo submitted an offer of $7 million for the 21-year-old Argentinian and Boca Juniors rejected it. In the past hours, the Brazilian team would have raised the proposal to $8 million.

On the other hand, Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami would have joined the interest in the player and would have made an offer in these last few hours. In addition, some reports from Argentina mention that Inter Miami would also want Marcos Rojo and that Gerardo Martino and Lionel Messi would have already contacted him.

Cristian Medina, alongside Valentín Barco and Sergio Romero, has been a crucial player for Boca Juniors to reach the Libertadores final. The young midfielder has also played in U16, U17 and U23 Argentina teams.

The 20-year-old striker celebrated effusively his first Premier League goal. This has been a rough season for him since, before this match, he had only played 14 minutes in six games.

Giovanni Lo Celso also entered the pitch in the second half for the Spurs, while Facundo Buonanotte started for Brighton and played 58 minutes. Tottenham’s defense suffered without Cristian Romero, who will continue to be out for the next 4-5 weeks.

Nelson Semedo spoke about Lionel Messi winning the World Cup and playing alongside him at FC Barcelona.

Semedo and Messi are both no longer at Barcelona but did play together for a few years. He spoke on the Sky Sports Premier League Youtube channel where he was asked to pick between Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo and he picked both players. Semedo did go on to say this about playing with Lionel Messi:

“It was easy. You just give him the ball and you just have to run and you know that the ball is going to land in front of you.

“Whatever side of the pitch you are, he puts the ball there like he throws it with his hands and he can dribble, he can score… It’s different yeah.”

He was also asked if he was proud of Messi for winning the World Cup:

“It was good, it was really good to see him winning there, I guess he deserves it as well for everything he gave to football.”

Álvarez has now made it three goals in his last two matches for Manchester City. With the match at 1-1, City were awarded a penalty and it was Álvarez who would take it.

The Argentine would kick down the middle and score to give City the 2-1 lead. City would score a third with Álvarez pressing the goalkeeper into a pass and Bernardo Silva scoring.
