Brighton in talks to sign Valentín Barco from Boca Juniors

Brighton are presently in talks to sign Valentín Barco from Boca Juniors.

Several reports out of Argentina are linking Valentín Barco with a move to Europe. According to Gastón Edul, Brighton want the 19 year old left back and while Barco would like the move, he wants to stay until December 2023 to finish the Copa Libertadores.

A separate report by Fabrizio Romano also states that there is real interest with Brighton in talks to sign him.

Mundo Albiceleste in attendance for AFA, Argentina presentation in Florida

Mundo Albiceleste will be in attendance as media today for the AFA and Argentina’s presentation of their complex in Florida.

AFA president and Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni will be at the presentation on Tuesday where they will unveil the new High-Performance Sports Complex which will serve the Argentina national team for the 2024 Copa America and the 2026 World Cup in the United States, should Argentina qualify.

We will be in attendance for both the presentation and the press conference on Tuesday and will be posting videos and images both on Mundo Albiceleste, as well as on our Youtuve channel.

Ignacio Pussetto leaving Watford, will rejoin Huracán

Ignacio Pussetto will be leaving Watford and returning to his old club Huracán.

Pussetto only played eight Premier League matches with Warford since joining them in 2020, having spent two seasons on loan with Udinese and Sampdoria. According to DobleAmarilla, the 27 year old forward will be returning to Huracán for 18 months.

Ángel Di María scored for Benfica in their 3-2 loss vs. Boavista.

Di María scored the first goal of the match in a dramatic match. The Argentine was on the end of a counter attack goal where he scored showed his speed as he reached the penalty area and scored to give Benfica the 1-0 lead.

Benfica were leading 2-1 going into injury time when Boavista were awarded a penalty and scored a late dramatic goal to give them the win.

Nicolás Otamendi also started the match for Benfica.

Nicolás Tagliafico scored Lyon’s first goal of the season in a 2-1 loss vs. Strasbourg.

Tagliafico has now scored two goals for the club after joining them last season from Ajax. With Strasbourg leading 2-0, it was a cross across goal which fell to Tagliafico and the 30 would score from close range.

The Argentine has now scored in all seven seasons he has spent in Europe.
