Lionel Messi had two assists for Inter Miami in their 2-2 draw against New York City.

Messi had both assists, one early in the match and one late in injury time for Inter Miami. The 37 year old received a pass inside the penalty area and he would play it across the penalty area to Tomás Avilés who would score from close range to give Inter Miami the 1-0 lead.

Tomás Avilés would get himself red carded. The defender would slide in for a tackle and win the ball but the referee would give him a red card and Inter Miami were short a player.

New York City would take the lead off an indirect free kick before the end of the first half and poor defending from Inter Miami would lead to New York City scoring a second goal and taking a 2-1 lead.

The Argentine would once more make the difference. A through ball in to Telasco Segovia 10 minutes into injury time and Segovia would chip the goalkeeper to draw Inter Miami level.

Lautaro Martínez scored for Inter in their 1-0 win against Genoa.

Martínez had the only goal of the game, a header off a corner kick to give Inter the 1-0 lead and the win. The 27 year old made it 10 goals in Serie A and 16 for the season.

This was his first goal since January as they lead the league with one point ahead of Napoli who have a game in hand.

Julián Álvarez scored twice and Ángel Correa once for Atletico Madrid in their 3-0 win against Valencia.

It was a match which had three goals and all three were scored by an Argentine World Cup winner. With the score at 0-0, it was an effort by Atletico which hit the crossbar and the ball fell to Álvarez for the rebound who would score to give them the 1-0 lead.

Álvarez would score a second goal, a cross by Antoine Griezmann which found Álvarez who would score the header. The Argentine now has 19 goals and four assists for Atletico Madrid.

Ángel Correa would make it 3-0 off a counter attack, scoring from inside the penalty area.

Enzo Fernández scored for Chelsea in their 2-1 loss against Aston Villa.

Fernández got one behind fellow Argentina team mate Emiliano Martínez in their Premier League match. A pass into the penalty area found Fernández who scored to give Chelsea the 1-0 lead.

The Argentine now has four goals for Chelsea this season, his first since December.

Paulo Dybala scores twice for AS Roma in 3-2 win vs. Porto

Paulo Dybala scored twice for AS Roma in their 3-2 home victory against Porto in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League playoffs. The Italian team had drawn 1-1 in Portugal, and with an aggregate score of 4-3, they advanced to the Round of 16.

With Porto leading 1-0 in the 35th minute, Dybala pulled off a brilliant play, exchanging a one-two pass with Eldor Shomurodov, breaking into the box, and finishing with the outside of his left foot into the back of the net to equalize the match at 1-1.

Just four minutes later, “La Joya” took possession near the right side of the box, faked a move, cut to his left, and fired a powerful shot at the near post that the goalkeeper couldn’t stop, putting Roma ahead 2-1.

Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes started for AS Roma, while Nehuén Pérez and Alan Varela were in Porto’s starting lineup. Matías Soulé came on as a second-half substitute for the Italian side.
