Argentina qualified for the Round of 16 at the U17 World Cup following a 3-1 win vs. Tajikistan.

Pablo Aimar’s team gave him a birthday gift with a great display and they will play Paraguay in the next round. Franco Orozco scored twice with the first one being a diving header to give Argentina the lead.

Orozco made it 2-0 following a great assist by Matias Godoy. Argentina goalkeeper Novo would foul which lead to a Tajikistan penalty. The goalkeeper was unable to save it and it was 2-1 Argentina.

Matias Godoy would make it 3-1 as Matias Palacios had a lovely back heel flick assist on the goal.

Argentina will play Paraguay on November 7 in Vitoria.

  1. There was a penalty that for some reason was not given after VAR and another goal we scored with the player even with last defender but was called offsides…so it could have been 5-1 but this way we play Paraguay in quarters and Nigeria / holland winner in semis

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Spain again in the Final
