It is being reported in Argentina that Boca Juniors are making contact with Sergio ROMERO. It is reported that they have offered him the starting goalkeeper position at Boca until June so that he will have consistent playing time and thus be able to keep his position on the Argentina national team. Boca coach Guillermo Barros SCHELOTTO spoke directly with ROMERO to offer him the position directly. ROMERO has confirmed that he will actually consider the possibility and get back to him within hours.
As we all know, ROMERO is playing his second season at Manchester United but he never plays. He’s the backup goalkeeper there. Edgardo BAUZA has spoken to him and asked him to find a club where he will be the starting goalkeeper. Boca’s idea is to play ROMERO until JUNE and then try to get Willy CABALLERO who will have ended his contract at Manchester City.
What do you guys think? Good move? Would you like this? If he does this and plays well, should he be the starting goal keeper for Argentina?
What’s with all the hate for El Chiquito? He hasn’t been the problem with the NT.
Bauza is working backwards. Instead of finding the right goalkeeper at this moment for his team he has identified someone that is not right and trying to solve his problem. Based on current situation Rulli should be playing as the first choice GK.
Its simple, but when has simple things happened with NT.
He should absolutely start for us. He saved our arse quite a few times remember? He should be our starting GK until he dies! Or may be after he is dead, his mummy could be starting for us. We owe him, no??
So today’s first Argentina match in Sudamericano. Brazil won last night.
AFA and the coach have eaten up up our chances for 2018.

Clearly Romero takes what Bauza told him seriously. His lack of playing time is a concern. I’m grateful for his service but I would prefer if we move on to another goalkeeper at this point. However, I disagree that Caballero is automatic replacement. Don’t get me wrong he was terrific at Malaga but he has not played on a regular basis either, just like Romero. At this point there is only one name that comes to mind – Rulli. He has been a regular starter for Real Sociedad and played very well.
Spot-on.willy is no longer the same but he is good enough to be sub.
rulli is our best keeper right now.
My three keepers would be : Rulli (starter), Guzman ( who is playing regularly in Mexico and is in good form right now) and Romero (for his experience with the national team).
if I read this correctly (below) it would be another dumb move as its just a stop gap measure. rom really needs to fire his agent.

If Romero will be excluded from the NT for lack of playing time, then I would like him to stay in Manchester United for the rest of his career!
funny and a good point.
Willy cabellero should be our number 1.
Rulli should be groomed in as our number 2.
Romero should be our 3rd choice.
