  1. I’m a fan of Argentina since 1978. Nowadays I can’t understand why Argentina cannot do good with so many players all over Europe. I came to a conclusion the coaches are the problems. The HUGE PROBLEM of the team is wing, Argentina cannot produce laterals like Zanetti, Sorin etc and that is the problem for Messi. He needs a lot of space to be able to do his magic, but for the last 10 years the team never had great wingers. Look at Barca with Alves ,Alba and even before with Abidal ,Maxwell .It’s just a fact Messi needs players that can overlap. Why can’t Sampaoli play with like that:
    Fazio—-Mascherano—-Otamendi
    Banega—Gago—Biglia—-DiMaria
    Mess
    Icardi Benedeto
In a line up like this Banega could occupied the right and Di Maria the left.
That’s what Argentina needs to open up space for Messi.

  2. Calculation analysis

    – Its between Chile, Argentina and Peru. 2 out of these 3 will qualify (at least a play off).
    – Chile must lose to Brazil on the final day. This will keep them at 26. Assuming they will beat Ecuador at home. Not sure if Brazil will deliberately lose.
    – Goal difference is a key. Currently Peru and Argentina both are at +1 goal difference.
    – If we get 4 points we are almost certain. 2 draws will be almost impossible.
    – Ecuador will be out by the time we meet them, not sure if that means anything
    – We don’t know the Brazil vs Chile outcome, so its utmost important to win over Peru
    – Goal difference can be very critical. So beating Peru is very critical for another reason

  3. Milton Casco is an odd choice, even Jonathan Silva (who is not that great) is better IMO. Probably a stopgap solution. Tagliafico has been playing as a central defender for Independiente so that must have worked against him.

  4. Gonzalo, I haven’t seen enough of Milton Casco though I think he played Honduras friendly under Tata if I am not mistaken. Any insights from the player? Does he play on both full backs?

    • I didn’t liked him first, also when Martino called him up, but recently… Recently I have only 3 names of leftbacks in Primera. Fabrizio Angileri, Dubarbier and Casco. So I think he is pretty good though I didn’t expected him mor, Tagliafico (now rather CB) in NT. Yes, he plays both fullbacks.

        • I agree with you EnganChe. If we qualify I think Mr. Sampaoli and his staff have to work round the clock till the world cup starts, coz they have to clean the mess left by the previous coaches and build a very strong Argentina team. Vamos Argentina!!!

  5. Can anyone let me know about How good Milton Casco is?If he can play in back 4 in such a crucial game?If he can then my line up for the most important game would be in 4-3-1-2 formation which is as follows:
    Romero
    Mercado-Mascherano-Otamendi-Casco
    Banega-Enzo Perez-Di Maria
    Dybala
    Messi-Icardi
I am new here and this is the first time I am writing on this website,Like you all I am a great Argentina fan and kindly forgive me If I make some mistakes.Vamos Argentina🇦🇷❤

    • Hey, it’s nice to have you here with us. Here we are like a very big family. Feel free to give your opinion about our beloved Argentina National Team.

  6. i made the calculations..ist possible that two draws get us to 5th place…but only if Ecuador and Chile draw both their games too…ist hell or halleulja for us…not much hope left…i think the time has come for messi to ruin his legacy for good and will be remembered for nothing but beeing a twentieth century Cruyff….wow…beyond my Imagination how we where able to blow one of the finest genereations in world Football ever! god Lord…what have we done?!

  7. ‘look not on these men, we may loose hope, but look above . . . for victory is on the way’
    .
    excited . . .
    .
any info on the new face Casco?

  8. doesnt matter who Plays…what we Need is total Football…everybody attacks and everybody Needs to defend! no Team in the world dares to Play Football against us…ist always 10 men behind the ball when we attack…if we cant manage to score 1 Goal out of all the chances we create we r doomed! we had so many chances against Venezuela yet we didnt score…we Need to get the fucking ball in no matter how…the Players must fight until they vomit their guts out…thats the only way we can qualify…i hope they r men enough for the biggest Task of their lifes!

  9. I THINK ARGENTINA SHOULD SAY BYE BYE TO RUSSIA WORLD CUP. THIS LIST OF PLAYEERS LACK OF CREATIVITY AND VITALITY. FULL OF OLD MAN,BOTH ICARDI AND BENEDETTO ARE NEW MAN IN NATIONAL TEAM LACK OF EXPERIENCE . DYBALA+MESSI+ICARDI COMBINATION HAD NOT WORKED WELL IN LAST THREE MATCHES.ACUNA,ACOSTA AND RIGONI ARE ALL OVERRESTIMATED

  10. I feel that we should start with at least 2 Boca players like Gago, Perez in the middle Icardi in front.
    I would go like that:

    Di Maria———Biglia——–Acosta
    ——–P.Perez———Gago———
    —————–Messi—————
    —————–Icardi————–
