Nicolas PAREJA leaves Sevilla, expected to play in Mexico

Sevilla captain and Argentina international Nicolas PAREJA has announced he is leaving the club after five years.

The club announced on Friday that an agreement has been reached for PAREJA to leave the club, he who joined them from Spartak Moscow back in 2013 (initially on a loan deal). Injuries plagued the 34 year old’s time in Andalucia, having played in less than 90 league matches.

He is expected to join Mexican club Atlas, although no official announcement has been made.

With the Argentina National Team, the former Espanyol man won Olympic gold 10 years ago in Beijing. With the senior side, he received only one cap, a 1-0 win against Brazil.
