Goalkeeper Sergio ROMERO is confirmed to take part in Argentina’s squad for the friendly matches in September.
Some good news for Argentina interim coach Lionel SCALONI as Manchester United’s Sergio ROMERO has reportedly confirmed to the Argentina coaching staff that Manchester United will allow him to travel with the team for next month’s matches. There were fears that ROMERO would not make the team and SCALONI would have to find a replacement.
With Lionel MESSI not included in the squad, Sergio ROMERO now would not only likely regain his starting goalkeeping position but also possibly become the team captain. The two other goalkeepers which have been included are Geronimo RULLI of Real Sociedad and Franco ARMANI of River Plate.
