Argentina national team in 2019, the Copa America and much more

I would like to start off by saying a big happy new year to everyone. May this year bring us all good health, joy, wealth and Argentina finally lifting the Copa America trophy.

Mundo Albiceleste has been running since summer of 2006 and we are going for year number 13 on this site. A big thank you to everyone for helping us grow and for your continued support.

This year for Argentina kicks off with a tournament, one for the future. The U20 South American youth cup will take place from January until February. As we reported when the draw took place, the kids have been drawn in Group B along with Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador and Peru.

As we have been doing for several years, we’ll have full coverage of the tournament.

After that comes the March friendly matches with the anticipated return of Lionel MESSI. His case is no secret, he hasn’t been part of the team since the World Cup but many reports claim that he will be there in March.

Following the friendly matches comes the Copa America. While Argentina are not going in as one of the favorites, it will be a fresh look team and one to build for the future.

All of that plus your regular goal highlights, news, rumors and everything else in between. Again, happy new year to everyone and here is to making 2019 our year!

  1. We have a big problem for our goalkeeper. We beed back up for Romero, in case he gets injured, and for the future in general. Gazzaniga seems like he can be a good keeper all around, but he is very inconsistent. Rulli on the other hand is good, but he makes too many errors. The rest of our keepers are too old, and are not starters, meaning they have a lack of experience.

    MY PICKS:

    AGUSTIN ROSSI
    Bad handling

    AXEL WERNER
    not starter

    ROMERO
    not starter

    RULLI
    mistakes

    VamosArgentina!!!
