Paulo GAZZANIGA put in a solid performance for Tottenham Hotspur in their 1-0 win against Chelsea in the league cup.

The newly capped Argentina goalkeeper was given the nod to start and did not disappoint Mauricio POCHETTINO. A big save late in injury time of the first half kept the score in Tottenham’s advantage. After he match, coach POCHETTINO had this to say about GAZANIGA:

“I think he was man of the match. We are lucky to have three top keepers, plus younger that have great quality as well.”

  1. And i feel weird we still talk about Romero. Scaloni should tell off Romero get first team or get off. If you wanna call a bench warmer than better call a young promising bench warmer not old who sitting in his comfort zone. Nothing against Romero. I was one of them in this site who was defending Romero in his dark days(before 2014WC). But NO SHAME to say he needs to move on from Man Utd or he will force off from the NT. I am late in debate but I do agree with some of them here calling few old guns. Messi,Aguero and Otamendi and maybe Di-Maria for sub and keeping the bench warm and for experience.

  2. ive said before this guy is one to watch, he is large, aggressive, very good reflexes, good shot stopper, commends his area and is not afraid to tell the defense if it has screwed up-a good keeper has to be the boss.

    • I remember you complementing him pablo but I personally thought he was going the way of Damian Martinez with the gunners, glad you’re turning out to be the one who is right.
It’s funny how football works out, at the WC Armani was the best Argentina had but now there is Benitez, Musso and Gazzaniga, good times!

  3. He is so comfortable with his feet
He should be the number one
    Golie for the Nt .
For me Romero time is up
    We should turn gazza and
    Walter Benitez.
