Lisandro Magallan scored his first goal for new club Alaves in their 2-0 win vs. Celta Vigo.

After having been unable to secure a spot with Ajax, Magallan joined Deportivo Alaves on loan and scored his first goal. A towering header from the 26 year old Argentine center back gave Alaves the 1-0 lead.

    Pal, you of all people should definitely had known. I don’t know why there’s a misunderstanding in this issue. It was apparent that the “Jerusalem match” was a “cheap political stunt” organised by Israel promoting their own agenda. Argentina or any nation should not have involved in such a cheap political stunt in the first place. It was the right decision to call off the match even it was a little late and fuelled a controversy.
    It will be lying and ludicrious if you say “fanatics of Palestinians” cancelled the game. It’s preposterous. What would you do when “Chile or Brasil for instance occupy your Argentina land and say Buenos Aires is their new capital and organise a football match between them and other nation in Buenos Aires?!”

    PS: it’s going to be Tel Aviv or Haifa like you mentioned not “Jerusalem”, the venue next month, so nobody’s gonna have any “legit” problem.

  5. Argentina should play friendlies with Europian nations.Belgium,Italy and Netherland are good options.There they can test their calibre.By the way Argentina are getting good opponent in friendlies.Brazil and Uruguay are one of the best
    in South America.

  6. I just realized that the U-17 WC is going to be held in Banana yellow nation!! its like a bad smell that doesn’t want to go away! how many friggin tournaments held there already?!

    • They are qualifying to the tournament as hosts. They had also not managed to qualify for the Olympics as per the usual norms but to their luck SA has now brought back the old system of qualifier tournament instead of the sudamericano sub20 which had kept us out many a time including the recent past..

  7. Beccacece with Independiente and Pizzi with San Lorenzo are flops so far. Especially with this material of players they got. Pizzi not using Gaich even on the bench while there’s place for young striker Alexander Diaz. Talented but not like Gaich.

  10. Bangladesh based fans – wanted to check when is the match in Dhaka. Is it Nov 18th & is it against Paraguay. Is the venue / date / opponent confirmed ? Also when will tickets start to be sold ? I am based in India & evaluating travelling to see this match.
