Lautaro Martinez recently gave an interview where he spoke about the Argentina national team, Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero as well as missing the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The Argentina and Inter striker is one not only for the present but for the future. He has delivered goals for both club and country and speaking with TyC Sports, he discussed all of that. Here’s what he had to say:
“What do I with Inter is what will get me into the Argentina national team. I have to test myself every day to compete, to be at the height of it all and to wear the Argentina shirt.”
When asked about current Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni:
“He has a lot of confidence in me. I’ve been in every one of his call-ups.”
Regarding both Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero:
“It’s great joy what they do because they have helped grow Argentine football. What they have shown and what they have done in their great careers is incredible. Hopefully I’ll be able to achieve something to what they have achieved.”
Martinez also spoke about missing the 2018 FIFA World Cup:
“I was doing great with Racing but the one who decided was the coach and he decided not to call me up. I always worked and tried to give my best. I had meetings with the coach but he chose not to select me in the final 23 players. I continued. Today, I work to be able to continue to achieve the objectives I have ahead.”

Facundo Cambeses; Marcelo Herrera, Nehuén Pérez, Facundo Medina, Claudio Bravo; Fausto Vera, Nicolás Capaldo; Julián Álvarez, Alexis Mac Allister, Agustín Urzi; Adolfo Gaich
this line up is probabaly the chosen one by Batista. IMO we should take one more creative player instead of Urzi or Alvarez. Before we had Colombatto where now is Capaldo. Capaldo is pure destroyer while Colombatto was also creative one DM.
Only Zaracho can upgrade the creativity level of midfield instead of Capaldo or Vera, Brunetta can’t play in 3 men midfield due to his lack of workrate.
Anyway this might lack one more creative player like Brunetta. His optimal position would be AM but of course there is MacAllister. MacAllister or Brunetta instead of Urzi is not natural position for them but the only way to use them both. Zaracho instead of Capaldo is another option to enhance creative strenghts. Valenzuela and Colombatto were convenient and versatile players because they were creative on specific positions (winger, DM) we often lack the creativness in favour of pace or defensive workrate.
Vera might give some good passes but he will not run ahead to connect with attack like Colombatto does.
Nice team, I will keep Alvarez to support Gaich. I like to see Zaracho-Capaldo-Mac Allister plus a more creative midfielder in the middle, ideally Palacios or Robertone.
One of Scaloni’s call ups, Independiente defensor Nicolas Figal, leaves Argentina for Miami of MLS.
Beckham is going to have some talented names: Matias Pellegrini, Julian Carranza, Nico Figal and likely Agustin Almendra.

hugo lloris has returned to training for spurs i tnk jose might make gazza return to the bench he hasnt been tat brilliant n also cost spurs some points due to silly errors so i guess gazza’s fairy tale run is coming to an end
Hard to say, I can only tell Lloris is not Mourinho ‘s type.
Gazza has been performing exactly how a backup keeper is expected to perform. When Loris returns he will go back to the bench again. In his defense, he didn’t get much help from his team but he has certainly made Scaloni’s job easier. He is far from ready to be picked for the national side.
