Lautaro Martinez could miss Argentina World Cup qualifiers due to Corona Virus quarantine

Lautaro Martinez could miss the Argentina games this month due to the Corona virus outbreak.

Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni is expected to announce the Argentina squad on Tuesday and Lautaro could be a doubt. Per Doble Amarilla, Lautaro could be quarantined in Italy and stay there instead of joining the Argentina team.

The current global epidemic that is the Corona virus could possibly mean that the Inter striker does not travel to South America for this month’s World Cup qualifiers.

  4. In his current form, Lautaro will not be missed. It is remarkable how many of our players lack form these days. Some of our starters sit on the bench at their clubs (Leverkusen, PSG etc.) Ocampos and Gomez are the only ones playing at their peak. Even Messi is somewhat subdued these past games. Luckily Scaloni will call 27-30 players. Plenty of choice.

    • but the problem is scaloni will ignore these players like buendia,gomez,benitez and rulli who are in the form of their lives and call up jokers like marcos rojo

  5. terrible form lautaro martinez is in.im really disapointed . still hasnt improved one bit this year i know im harsh because he didnt have much service but he is someone predicted to have world class potential and he always has to be dangerous whenever on the ball.
    last year he was amazing always creating danger for the defences but after inter got knocked out of UCL his form has faded really fast honestly after that inter are winning games without him rather than with him.

    performanes like this will not surely impress barca one bit.

    • And why does he need to impress Barca???
      He is impressing scaloni that’s more than enough…..
      I also think he didn’t provide much quality in the final third but still his work rate and hold up play was good.
      The most impressive thing about him is his mentality….he has a winner mentality.

      • He won’t be impressive with Argentina if he’s not impressive with his current club now and on the long run , this applies to most players out there too because simply it’s logical .

      • shubham lautaro is always a workhorse and his hold up play i would rate it to be better than suarez’s but he is in the team to score goals or atleast create danger situations which cause a panic to the defenders but he is doing neither for some time now and its really worrying for argentina especially because there will be matches where we tend to get dominated and we get only 2 or 3 half chances to score literally a smash and grab these are the ones where an actual star rises to the occasion and scores last year lautaro was the one who rose to the occasion and carried argentina into the knockout stages . i really hope this torrid form ends.

    • By the way acuna is playing really well for sporting….I think he has improved a lot defensively.
      And his passing has also get little bit better.

      • i have watched his recent european games and his attacking input always is world class but i have always criticized his defensive game but since you say otherwise its good because he is an important impact substitute

    • you got your lautaro vs dybala show in the end lol. seriously dybala needs to leave juventus seeing a star like him rotting on the bench because of ronaldo influencing coach decision. he should be the main man of the team and not act as a second fiddle he is 26 now and approaching his prime better get his decision sorted rather than ending up as an average player who featured in the messi/ronaldo era

      • I won’t blame sarri and Ronaldo here……the problem with dybala is his work rate and he lacks speed too which Douglas Costa has.
        Oldies like Ronaldo and Higuain can run double than him.

    • Scaloni has had first hand experience of facing the consequences of picking washed-up and below par players in 2018 world cup. So far he has proved to be a thinking coach, who doesn’t shy away from accepting mistakes and making appropriate corrections. Icardi hasn’t score much for us but we must take into consideration the amount of service he received. Furthermore, as someone mentioned in some other post, Aguero is declining and this decline is picking up pace and we all have seen how delay incorporating young blood can have deadly long term effect. It will need a Miracle for Aguero to last the whole qualifying campaign let alone participating in the next world cup!
