Argentina U20 defender Facundo Medina will reportedly join Ligue 1 club Lens.
Still only 21 years of age, Medina is currently signed with Talleres having joined them from River Plate. Per Germán García Grova, the defender will join for €6 million with Talleres getting €3.9 million of it and River Plate getting €2.1 million.
Medina, capable of playing as center back and left back, has represented Argentina in both the U20 and U23 teams where he represented Argentina at the 2019 U20 World Cup and at the 2019 Pan American games. He ended up winning gold with the team in the final of the Pan American.

I was reading about Medina in totalfootballanalysis.com . He seems to have all the needed traits as per that scout report. Just will need more exposure & keep developing to be a serious threat for NT spot. He has speed , aerial presence & good ball playing skills. What needs to be tested is how good is all this when he goes to a higher level. Good that he is joning a Ligue 1 bound club & will be great to see how he develops.

Can he be a back up for Tagliafico?
Lisandro is the solution in the center-left back
Lens were promoted to Ligue 1. I just hope he gets plenty of game time. He will have to improve greatly to get past Senesi, Quarta, Romero and Balerdi.
Let’s see what position they will have him play in at Lens. If it’s mostly LB then the competition is not that fierce.
good move
In which division plays lens? I doubt it playing in ligue 1, I suppose ligue 2 most probably.
