Gio Simeone scored for Cagliari in their 4-2 win vs. Crotone.

Simeone cannot stop scoring. Now on four goals in five games this season, the Argentine has been prolific in front of goal. With the score at 1-1, a through ball found Simeone and he would beat the goalkeeper to give Cagliari the 2-1 lead.

  1. Some joker and choker are playing for Argentina, that’s why we can’t win any trophy, we ignored talents

  2. Armani and Andrada both are farmers , emi Martinez should be no I goalkeeper for Argentina, that’s why we are tropiless,

  3. Is it me we have so many reasonably good Goal Keepers competing for the No 1 spot. Scaloni has clearly told that Armani is his No. 1, if he was young I would have been okay with him being our No. 1, but at 34 he is on the wrong side of the age. If Emiliano cant be tried then I think Andrada is a solid option. Hopefully Armani can soon start to replicate his River form for us, if he does bring it then he is phenomenal GK. But that’s a Big IF for the NT till now.

  4. Emi Martinez, Ledesma Musso and Andrada are best. Time to say good bye to Armani.Andrada is great with feet but his shot stopping is poor his hands are weak. Andrada or Musso one should stay.

  5. Simeone is doing well and I’m happy for him, it’s always good to have more options in every position.
I watched Fiorentina vs Udinese and luckily all the Argentines in the game did well. Quarta (who sadly came in for injured Pezzella) did well and showed with the team’s 3rd goal that he is a ball playing defender that could be in serious demand in the future if he continues to do well.

De Paul was excellent as usual, created 2 or 3 legit scoring chances but sadly Udinese is having a hard time putting them at the back of the net hence why they’re languishing right now.
I noticed that some of you commented on Molina’s first start and I have to agree, the kid looked good, nice marauding runs into the opposing box, created 1 or 2 decent chances and defended well. One to look out for.

I taped the Juv match and watched the Dybala bits and he was superb, running, dribbling, creating chances….basically taking responsibility. I still maintain that it is Dybala and not Lautaro that I would like to see next to Lio in the NT, although Lautaro ain’t too bad either.

    • Agree with you on most part. It was good to see our players having a good solid outing.

However, I feel Quarta was partly responsible for second goal Fiorentina conceded. He was way up and when the pass was played he paused and raised his hand for an offside. He lost a crucial fraction of second that allow the Udinese players open space and lot of time to cross the ball. He ran once realized that there was no offside as there were probably 10 players behind him, but it was too late.

Overall, good stuff. One player who is really underperforming is Messi. I think he should take a couple of games off. He should also pass on the captains armband to Pique. We want our captain, that will be enough.

  6. The detail of the list of 37 called up to FIFA would be in principle the following:

Goalkeepers : Emiliano Martínez (Aston Villa, England), Jeremías Ledesma (Cádiz, Spain), Agustín Marchesín (Porto, Portugal), Franco Armani (River) and Esteban Andrada (Boca).

Defenders : Juan Foyth (Villarreal, Spain), Germán Pezzella (Fiorentina, Italy), Nicolás Otamendi (Manchester City, England), Marcos Senesi (Feyenoord, Netherlands), Nehuen Pérez (Atlético de Madrid, Spain), Nicolás Tagliafico (Ajax , Holland), Walter Kannemann (Gremio, Brazil), Marcos Acuña (Seville, Spain), Facundo Medina (Lens, France), Gonzalo Montiel (River), Lucas Martínez Quarta (River) and Leonardo Balerdi (Olympique Marsella, France).

Midfielders : Leandro Paredes (PSG, France), Guido Rodríguez (Betis, Spain), Giovani Lo Celso (Tottenham, England), Rodrigo De Paul (Udinese, Italy), Exequiel Palacios (Bayer Leverkusen, Germany), Rodrigo Battaglia (Alavés, Spain), Nicolás Domínguez (Bologna, Italy), Lucas Ocampos (Seville, Spain), Matías Zaracho (Atlético Mineiro), Alexis MacAllister (Brighton, England) and Alejandro Gómez (Atalanta, Italy).

Forwards : Lionel Messi (Barcelona, Spain, Lautaro Martínez (Inter, Italy), Paulo Dybala (Juventus, Italy), Nicolás González (Stuttgart, Germany), Cristian Pavón (LA Galaxy, United States), Joaquín Correa (Lazio, Italy) , Lucas Alario (Bayer Leverkusen, Germany), Eduardo Salvio (Boca) and Giovanni Simeone (Cagliari, Italy).

I’m not sure if 100% correct
    But marcos senesi is there

    • I think the 3rf goal originated from his initial pass from defense. The transition credit for a quick counter was his. But I am still wanting to see how el Chino manages tall physical strikers in set pieces. That will be a good test. Overall decent debut. But hoping pezzella knock was minor & he is available for Nov games. Lmq & pezzella will be a good option with Medina given some minutes

  7. some friends here worry about the performance of Messi lately.
well i don t give a damn if Messi perform bad in his club.

Messi perform well with albiceleste jersey and i am satisfy with his performance.
he was possitive till good in both last games against Bolivia and Ecuador.
Plus Copa america is far ago yet for make me worry about his form.
So till games against Paraguay and Peru there is nothing that worry me about Leo.

Now if the problem is about Barcelona club fans then ok it is their problem.
i don r care about Barcelona as for example they don t care about River plate.

just it is funny that despite the fact that i have more reasons to “cry” about my beloved club than one Barcelona fan for his team i see the opposite happening.
    they “cry” more 🙂 🙂 🙂

  8. Guys moline is an excellent young player , he’s pacy , tall and connected outstandingly with de Paul against fiorentina , he goes forward like it’s nothing and that’s something I really liked , especially since this is our weakest position RB , we only have saravia who is injury prone and not a tier 1 RB , although he performs good for national team , foyth who that’s not proper position RB but plus excellently I’ve found him with the national team .

    • Yes. Really a good game ! Begin as a right midfielder in the 3-5-2 . Finish as Right Back in a 4-4-2.

concentration in defense, actif in attack, not shy, great vision of the field, great key pass, many crosses. My gosh ! A modern Argentinan Right Back ??? Im in the middle of a dream ?

Need more games to improve and confirm but Scaloni have to check Udinese more (and Udinese to become a better team)

      • I don’t know man , I’m telling you this is my first time watching him and I was like where the hell has this kid been . Now we need to give more time to assess him properly , but he looks solid , pacy , tall, 22 years old and just like you said I felt he was a modern fullback .

        • I would want to see him a few more games before commenting. Positionally he played a right wingback for most of game. So he would have looked naturally more contributive to attack. I saw he was crossing more frequently compared to our existing options..but accuracy was poor. Agree on the physical attributes as montiel looks weak & saravia short. Let’s hope Molina gets more starting games in club & that can help see him game closely. For now I wld want to continue with montiel.
