Sergio Aguero has tested positive for COVID-19.

Aguero tweeted out that has tested positive as his difficult season continues. The Argentine has been struggling with injuries throughout the season ever since a knee injury at the end of last season. As he was making the bench for City and beginning to get some games, Aguero’s luck turned back around after it had been reported that he had come into close contact with someone with the virus.

Manchester City’s all team leading scorer will be out for at least 10 days which means he will miss three games. City play Cheltenham Town in the fourth round of the FA Cup and also play West Brom and Sheffield United in the league.

The South African Parliament’s trade and industry committee has been holding regular discussions on the advantages and disadvantages of legalization and regulation of online gambling in the country. The last public hearing was held on Friday March 2. Business Day reported on the proceedings. The main issues were the potential problem areas like the prevention of money laundering, underage gambling and illegal gambling operations.

  2. Tomorrow is the copa sudamericana final. Lanus vs defensa. Some of our best young talents playing in their biggest stage till date. Also big stage for zubeldia & crespo to be noticed for bigger club manager roles. Looking forward to see an awesome game

  3. Mbappe is the best player in the World at moment, front runner to win Ballon dor. Icardi is the best striker in the world after Lewandowski who won Ballon dor this year.

    • LOL. Mbappe is horrible since months ! And im french i know the topic ! He have a lot of criticism in France because this season he is not good like before, for exemple today he scored for the first time since 1 month and after a lot of poor games.

So no he is not to be the best player of the world now. Not even close

  4. Its time for the NT to move from Aguero. He has been a tremendous player, but his days are getting over. We have Lautaro, Nico G, Alario, Dyabla, Icardi and many others.

    • I agree we might wanna move on from Kun expect for Icardi part, who is just a poacher (even if he is a world class poacher) but such a wild card that I am not sure he warrants selection. Him and his wife can’t keep their mouths shut if things don’t go their way, so he might be just too toxic of an option. Just my opinion, others might disagree. In fact I know at least one person here who would but not only for footballing reasons…:D

      • LOL!!!
Yeah, true that. Icardi is old school #9. May be he can put something in at the 90th min inside a penalty box in chaos. Or just jump high. We are never short of strikers.

  5. Aguero has had a rough season… If I’m not mistaken it has been a year since he last scored in Premier League. With his contract running out in the summer, I’d like to see him join PSG either now or then. PSG would then be the ideal club for Messi to join in summer, with Paredes, Di Maria, Aguero already there (Icardi would be sold) + Pochettino as coach.. Would be a big advantage for us if this happens.

Also Sevilla are interested in signing Papu Gomez, another one I would love to see. He could fill that Banega void and play alongside Ocampos and Acuña

    • Sevilla is best for Papu Gomez I do not like Rakitic, he was very average in Barcelona for last 4 years. Papu Gomez will bring what Sevilla lacks after Bangega

      • They don’t play in the same position though, at least Papu has not spend much time as a central midfielder or much less as a deep-lying midfielder like Banega and Rakitic. Not saying Papu can’t plat there but that’s not where he used to play for Atalanta where he normally played as a second striker slightly on the left or as an attacking number 10.

My point is that Papu would not be a like for like replacement for either Banega or Rakitic, both of whom tend to play deeper than him.

        • You’re right EnganChe, it’s not a like-for-like replacement as their positions/roles differ a bit… Although I believe Papu could definitely fit into this Sevilla midfield with his creativity, energy, experience and leadership. If he can manage to adapt and keep playing at his level in a 4-3-3 midfield, I think it would do us good and he could be a valuable Lo Celso/De Paul backup

  6. TyC Sports are reporting that a formal offer for Montiel is expected today for around €9m, which is a steal. The main candidates are AS Roma, Villarreal and Lyon.

    • Lyon at the moment are front runners for him. Personally all of the offers have been quite low and if they were fair they would be in the 13-16 million range

      • his contract ending in end of June my friend. this is the reason every team give less money than what we deserve to take. we should be and happy with 9 million.
of course some asholes in River board care only for the elections and D Onofrio care only for his personal agenda after that.
so who had the brain to extend Montiel contract on time so we can take more money selling him my friend?
anyway. what i am speaking now. i am screaming to the deaf.

  7. Too bad for him. He will miss more games.
As Roy Keane pointed out Aguero grows in size or better width after each spell on the sidelines. He should really lay off the food and get back in shape.

  8. How unfortunate it’s been for him this season. Right after the season in which he beat that record. I think he should move because he needs a fresher start
