Sergio Aguero has tested positive for COVID-19.
Aguero tweeted out that has tested positive as his difficult season continues. The Argentine has been struggling with injuries throughout the season ever since a knee injury at the end of last season. As he was making the bench for City and beginning to get some games, Aguero’s luck turned back around after it had been reported that he had come into close contact with someone with the virus.
Manchester City’s all team leading scorer will be out for at least 10 days which means he will miss three games. City play Cheltenham Town in the fourth round of the FA Cup and also play West Brom and Sheffield United in the league.
After a close contact, I’ve been self-isolating and the latest test I took was positive for COVID 19. I had some symptoms and I’m following doctor’s orders for recovery. Take care, everyone!— Sergio Kun Aguero (@aguerosergiokun) January 21, 2021
