  1. I think this is an ideal destination for him. Far from the projectors and fantasy, if he has the work ethic he can work himself out and become a very good player. I had the chance to watch in U17 and I do believe that he has potential. Like many said before me, Its not Russia or MLS and Basel plays European football every year….

    • FC Basel is my Homeclub. i am very happy to have an other argentino here. In past we had alot an win alot …but in last time we play very bad and we have not many good players. i hope he can bring some fire in our stadium. We say its our new Mati Delgado – he is just 18 i hope he can make it. Yeah Basel is a good club to make jumps in the higher leagues like Salah, rakitic, embolo, shaqiri, xhaka … they are all made the Steps over Basel.

  2. Pros: -as enganche said, it’s not Russia or MLS
-They’ve developed some decent players over the past (Salah, sommer, akanji, Rakitić, Xhaka)
-they should be getting European football
-European clubs will be more willing to buy him if he becomes a starter and performs well than if he were in the local league
    Cons:
-it’s not a top five league
-he barely got to make a name for himself in the primera, so I hope Basel takes his development seriously so he doesn’t turn into a Balerdi
-I don’t think this is a club where he’ll become a starter upon arriving, he will need to build himself into his role
I have a more decent feeling about this as opposed to Gaich’s first move. Hopefully it turns out well for him

  3. Far from ideal but I suppose better than MLS or Russian league….

I just hope that Thiago Almada does not get signed by Brøndby, Crvena Zvezda, Rapid Vienna or some other random club like that.

  4. Lautaro yesterday missed an open goal…floating ball and reaction time was less but all he had to direct the ball to goal post, but missed the kick completely. His shooting needs lots of work.

    • He hasn’t turned out to be what many of us here expected yet.
But at least he works hard, he is always at the right place at right time and I also like his tenacious side. In short he is a very good CF to play with Messi.
I love lautaro, Nico Gonzalez, ocampos, a correa…at least we know they are always going to work hard for the team unlike j correa, dybala, icardi who may bring more quality but when they’re not playing well then they are liability.
But that doesn’t change the fact that lautaro should improve his dismal finishing.
