Alejandro Papu Gomez is set to start in place of Gio Lo Celso.
Papu Gomez could be in the starting eleven as Gio Lo Celso would start on the bench. According to Mariano Antico, Papu Gomez is going to start in midfield alongside Rodrigo De Paul and Leandro Paredes.
Lo Celso has been a regular for Argentina but he hasn’t started for Tottenham in several matches.

Perfect call! Celso is fantastic but he has shown (since last season atleast) at Spurs that he has fitness issues and Scaloni needs to figure out a good replacement in case Gio is unavailable.
De Paul is another player that Scaloni needs to figure out how to replace because if Rodrigo is out, then Argentina is in serious trouble. For me Nico Dominguez would be a fantastic replacement (assuming he recovers well after his reported impending shoulder surgery) but Saracho and even Alexis MacAllister also have the potential to provide adequate cover if given a chance.

I believe Alexis mac allister can be good alternative midfielder for both rdp and gio however gio lo celso don’t deserve to first 11 atm. As dominguez i always rated him a long with palacios and I believe they will come good.
Buendia can be a glc replacement. He has good passing good defensive ability he also has pace
