Rodrigo De Paul and Ángel Correa both scored for Atletico Madrid in their 2-1 win vs. Real Sociedad.
Both Argentine players scored in the last match of the season. With the score at 0-0, Rodrigo De Paul received the ball from outside of the penalty area and with a shot into the top corner of the goal gave Atletico Madrid the 1-0 lead.
Ángel Correa doubled Atletico’s lead with an effort from inside the penalty area. It was goal number 12 in La Liga this season for him.

Real test for our midfield will be in finalissima. If they dominate italy midfield thn i will accept our midfield is very strong but im expecting italy midfield to dominate our midfield though italy midfield is not the best in the world but still better than Argentina midfield i think. Argentina defense and attack is better and im expecting a 1-0 or 2-1 win for Argentina. This final win is important because it will come against a strong European side. Only advantage here is italy is not great in lightning counter attacks which may b our weakness but they can be dangerous in set pieces and can score from corners. Super exciting match

Gudio is defensively Compact player. But Pardesh is a leader and big match player and very skill full.His chemistry with Gio And depaul are great.

It seems like folks haven’t watch Betis play this season. Guido has been playing exceptionally well both defensively and offensively. His passing and ability to make runs and move ball forward has improved drastically! He consistently gets into goal scoring positions.
About Paredes not being defensively sound its complete nonsense. He has been one of the best midfielders at PSG this season especially due to his ability to not lose possession and his accurate passing. Its not easy to disposes or run past Parades which makes him a great CM and Juventus will benefit a lot from his signing , i.e. if he goes there.
LoCeslo after moving to Villarreal has transformed his game. His ability to create something every time he receives the ball make him a dangerous player. He was exceptional against Bayern and Villareal forwards have benefited a lot after his move.

I’ll admit i haven’t watched him that much but if youre right, that could potentially unlock the mids highest potential. With Paredes, GLC and RDP have to sacrifice and cover for his defensive weakness. Guido doesn’t drain the same resource but he lacks in ball progression according to most and what we have seen in the NT. If he truly has improved, i think GLC and RDP will play a lot better and be more productive than what we have seen.
Of course something similar could be said about Paredes becoming a better defender but i don’t see the ambition and awareness for him to improve. If he does improve defensively, he could be ranked amongst the best.

Both Argentine players scored beautiful goals!! Can’t wait for DePaul to don the national shirt against Italy. He is a totally different player while playing for us. His long balls are extremely accurate and well timed! Italy will most likely field new players who will be desperate to prove themselves to Mancini and will try everything to win to give that consolation to the fans. These kind of friendlys are better than dull matches, our team will certainly be tested!!
Long rangers are always a pressure relief shot if it placed properly. Last wc only di Maria was our only hope in long range shots. This time there are options in that also like de Paul Paredes Acuna Molina di Maria. I always think about that monsterous long range volley from pavard in last wc. We also need those type of shots to achieve that silverware.
