  1. Locelso was atrocious last game. And still people here don’t want Enzo in the squad who is clearly our best performing and on form midfielder this season. You have to respect the current form of players.

    • Enzo is competing with MacAllister and Palacios. Let alone Lo Celso.Half of last season Lo Celso did not even play for the Spurs but he still started for Scaloni and always never disappointed. Lo Celso along with De Paul and Paredes are considered regular starter not rotation players.

      • Everyone knows that. But copa America wc qualifier r not even 50% as competitive as wc. Plus this will be played in qatar there will be surely injury and what worked in Conmeble doesn’t mean will work in world Cup also in copa our starting cb pair was otamendi pezella apart from only final where Romero started dimaria only started in final so we have to change things. Scaloni needs to be flexible. Remember sabella changed our whole backline from 2nd round onwards in 2014 that made us so strong defensively. Enzo should be there. There should not be any debate about it.

        • Anuparno, way too many unwarranted opinions on your part.

First, CONMEBOL is one of the most competitive places on Earth. Period. Do you think it’s easy to play in Maracana in Brazil? Or at altitude in La Paz and Quito? Or the heat of Barranquilla or Caracas. Or anywhere else playing away for that matter? Many Europeans teams would crumble under pressure playing in South America. Your undervaluing CONMEBOL is completely unjustified and shows that you don’t know as much about football that you may think you do. Playing competitive games in South America is damn hard and if somebody does well there, they would do well in the WC as well.

Second, Enzo and Lo Celso are not playing in the same position and are different type of players. Lo Celso is a dynamic, creative playmaker with box-to-box tendencies while Enzo is a bit like Paredes, a deep lying regista.

Real life is not your console or fantasy football where you can just create a team on paper. Yes, form is a significant factor and perhaps Enzo should be in the final 26 but to say he should start over Lo Celso who had never had a bag game for the NT is beyond ridiculous.

    • Pezzella was decent, it was Locelso who was caught napping that resulted in a goal and his touches and passes were quite poor today, especially in the last 30mins.

      • Not even close to decency. I watched the first half and I couldn’t even continue watching him after seeing his defensive blunders. Luiz Felipe saved him. I think Pezzella doesn’t deserve being in the squad anymore. Very slow and can’t concentrate on the ball. I know he is a backup, but Perez could be a better alternative.

  2. Seems talented as ever so hopefully this call up encourages interest from Europe, because he’s not a scrappy poacher type of player. He’s scoring golazos with his dribbling past average defenders and goalkeepers, something which simply wouldn’t work in a World Cup or Copa America. I don’t want him to actually set the pitch for us unless he’s already proven he can perform in a legitimate competitive league.

  3. Olive good morning. today ia one of my favorite kind of days.
food drinks together with friends and wait for River-Boca game.
it is 17.00 Argentine time. i love this days.
By the way tonight is the final of America cup (Basketball).
we play against Brasil in their soill just like in Copa america last year.
i wish we beat them same way in Basketball too.

    VAMOS ARGENTINA !!!
and RIVER too of course 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • Good morning, as usual I’m feeling the combo of nervousness and excitement and can’t wait for it to start. Where I live it’s five hours earlier so some yerba and a lunch picada is what I’ll prepare. Hope Solari can start and Quintero shows his magic against the bosteros again. Not only do we need the points but superclasicos are much more than points 🙂. Hope other mundo followers will tune in because besides the game in following Solari, Varela, Vasquez you’re following very realistic future Argentina players.

And I didn’t know the position we are in for Basketball, sounds like a hell of a final. May today hopefully be a good day for us in both ways
